Molars are Rough
"May your coffee be stronger than your toddler."We had A WEEK. Aurora has discovered this very loud screeching style of scream and she has used it every day at least ten times. I'd feel bad for our neighbors if it wasn't the best form of payback possible. I can't say I blame her though. If I was dealing with a large molar digging its way through my gums it's safe to say, I'd be on bed rest milking it into oblivion.
We spent most of our week just trying to distract her from the teeth pain. Which means LOTS of messes. She consumed paint, play dough, and probably a bit of rubber from the whisk. So, that's great. Mom of the year here.
Bidding will start at $100 for her original artwork.
In other news the climbing has raised to a whole new level. Her high chair is no longer safe so we have to hide it in the hallway in between meals. We've also had to move the baby gate to block off the kitchen now because she's figured out that if she holds onto the oven handle and pulls down with her weight she just might get it open. Which is just dandy! I mean don't get me wrong I love that shes so smart and interested in everything but holy cow, I'm exhausted.
We tried to get some of that wild girl energy out by playing rock band with some kitchen utensils and pots. That..did not work. If anything it wound her up more. We so badly need Spring to show up, we're both getting so tired of being indoors all the time.
One woman rock band.
Then to put the cherry on top of our shit sundae of a week. I broke my pinkie toe! Which wasn't as much painful as it is inconvenient. It was feeling loads better and then I stepped on a mega block. And that, ladies and gentleman, is a perfect example of my luck! Alas, we are chugging on.
This weekend wasn't the grand finish I was hoping for but we're determined to have a good week! Going to make a lot of plans that hopefully turn out, weather permitting. Also have a lot of crafty ideas to keep us sane. Daydreaming of Spring.
Bonus photo because, HOW CUTE!?
